The 60th annual Grammy Awards are fast approaching, which means Grammy buzz is in full swing. Predictions for who will emerge victorious on January 28th is all the talk of the music industry right now.
And while we can't wait to see the much-anticipated performances, as well as who takes home the awards, we’re most excited about seeing all the celeb hairstyles on the red carpet. Each year we (mere mortals) get to witness the dazzling hair and makeup looks worn by celebs for the biggest event in the music industry.
So let’s throw it back and talk about some of our favorite looks from last year’s Grammy Awards that left us feeling inspired...
The Lip Sync Battle co-host captured the attention of the internet last year when she debuted her mid-length hair at the Grammys. Styled by celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin and makeup artist Patrick Ta, Chrissy pulled off the ultimate dewy, glowing look by matching her “wet” hair effect with a golden bronzer and highlight. While there are many different ways to achieve this effect with your own hair, a tried and true method is running your favorite gel through damp wavy hair and crunching with your fingers as you move down the length. Seal with a high-shine hairspray to get a longer lasting effect.
The daughter of the late Michael Jackson attended the 59th Grammy Awards wearing a multicolor embroidered Balmain jumpsuit. Paris’ hairstylist, John D, created a side part and styled her hair into volumized, textured waves- even adding a small braid to the side. Paris’ bold brows and tousled, undone blonde locks made for the perfect effortless red carpet look.
The “Tell Me You Love Me” singer wowed the red carpet with her wigs for black women after having been seen with a short bob only a few days before. Demi’s look proves that you don’t need to be waiting around months or even years to rock the hairstyle you want!
Halsey wore her gorgeous and simply styled platinum blonde pixie cut on the red carpet, which she paired with her minimalist and natural looking makeup. When asked of her inspiration for her hair, Halsey said she wanted to keep things looking "sexy and androgynous”-- which she totally rocked!
